St. George, Utah
St. George is well known for its many golf courses, restaurants, shopping and excellent medical services. Directions: Go west on Highway 9 and then south on I-15 (7 miles) to exit numbers 10, 8, 6 or 4.
Springdale, Utah
This town lies at the southwest entrance of Zion National Park. It is known for its unique shops and restaurants. Here you will also find the Bumbleberry Theater, which offers live entertainment. The Zion Canyon Cinemax - Giant Screen Theater is also found in Springdale and offers IMAX version films of Zion and other destinations. First-run movies are also shown in the theater. Directions: Go east on Highway 9 (11 miles) to Hurricane. Follow the signs east and then north to LaVerkin where you will turn right and go up onto a plateau. Follow the road east through Virgin, Rockville and then to Springdale (total distance from Coral Ridge is approximately 35 miles).
Mesquite, Nevada
This town has become known for several excellent golf courses, gambling and weekend entertainment. The town elevation is 1,500 feet so the temperature is a little warmer than the St. George area (2,800 feet). The area is not as scenic as St. George but some people enjoy Mesquite for what it offers in golf and gambling. Click here for more information.
