Directions: Travel south on I-15 to Bluff Street, exit #6. Turn left, go over freeway and then take the first right. The museum is on the north side of the Dixie Convention Center and just south of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.

St. George Arts Museum

This museum features exhibits from local, regional and other invited artists. It is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5 and there is a small entrance fee – currently $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. Click here for more information.
Directions: Go west on highway nine and then south on I-15 (7 miles) to exit #8. Go right (west) on St. George Boulevard to Main Street and turn right. Go north 1 block and turn right. The museum is mid-block on your left.

St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm

The St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm is home to exceptionally well-preserved dinosaur tracks, some displaying skin impressions. These tracks, along with hundreds of fossilized fish, plants, rare dinosaur remains, invertebrates traces and important sedimentary structures, show evidence that this site was produced along the western edge of a large, Early Jurassic (age between 195-198 million years ago) freshwater lake named Lake Dixie. Directions: Travel south on I-15 to exit #6. Turn left and go over freeway and follow Riverside Drive (approximately 2 miles). Go straight through light at River Road and go around to the south end of mesa. Follow the road approximately 2 miles. The main building is on your right.

Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum

This museum offers a collection of items from the pioneer era. Items include a bed used by Brigham Young, spinning wheels, an 1894 loom, tools, guns, musical instruments, etc. Also visible are historic photos of pioneer families and copies are available for purchase. Guided tours are given by volunteers from the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Allow at least a half-hour.
Directions: Go west on Highway 9 and then south on I-15 (7 miles) to exit #8. Go right (west) on St. George Boulevard to 100 east and turn right. The museum is mid-block on your left.

Art Galleries

The towns of St. George and Springdale are fast becoming known as great destinations for quality art. Many excellent artists have moved to the area and their works can be seen in a number of galleries. Perhaps the finest gallery in the area is found in St. George. Mariposa is a gallery of fine contemporary Native American and western art. Click here for more information.
Directions: Go west on Highway 9 and then south on I-15 (7 miles) to exit #8. Go right (west) on St. George Boulevard until you come to Bluff Street. Turn right and go north to Sunset Boulevard. Turn left and follow Sunset through the first light and turn left at Phoenix Plaza. The gallery is next to Scaldoni’s Restaurant.
